My starting point was the Fates, who are three daughters of Greek Gods Zeus and Themis in charge of destinies of all beings. The Fates spins, measures, and cuts the string which represents the life of a living being. By having a young child looking at the endless coils and an old figure focusing solely on the short end of the same string, I sought to represent how different age groups view the same time length differently.
